Pandemia defaults 10% of businesses in municipalities

The state's failure to care for businesses and workers has caused 10% of businesses in Kosovo municipalities mainly in the gastronomial sector to go bankrupt. So for Online Economics, the chairman of the Private Sector Union, Yusuf Azemi, has said.

Azem has further said that many jobs will remain empty from the pandemic.

He has confirmed that most of the establishments will be shut down after deadlines cannot pay workers.

“We are aware that many jobs will remain empty from the pandemic, but we are also being heavily burdened, perhaps without the care of the Kosovo government”.

I have meetings from today with some businessmen from other municipalities where due to working schedule deadlines and especially gastronomy until 9:00 and in some form they say they're going to shut down all their restaurants and all their cafes because they can't afford to do the workers' expenses”.

It has also had an immediate request for gastronomy work to continue until 11 p.m., reports EO.
