MPs continue confrontations, vote over law for pandemic

Hours of debate and confrontation, and yet the Parliament has not had enough votes to advance the pandemic bill. Two proposed resolutions -- one from Vetevendosje and the other from the PDK, aimed at adopting the draft bill's accelerated procedure -- failed to be voted in absence of quorum.

However, Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani, at the same proposal of the bill, has urged the two parties to harmonise resolutions into one.

For four hours in a row, the debate in the Kosovo Assembly on pandemic management became a clash between the opposition position of who has been tested for COVID 19 and who was privileged in these tests.

The clashes also continued as to which government had better managed the situation with the pandemic.

It took intervention by the minister of health to calm the debate on testing MPs and other officials within the assembly.

Armendi Zemaj said there are two lists to be sent to I KSPHPK's.

But, the Osman amendment proposal for the separation of 3m euros for the purchase of masks for the country's citizens has also caused clashes in the Assembly between LDK and Vetevendosje.

Mismanagement as it was said, with the pandemic situation causing the VV to demand The PDK's vote of no-confidence motion on government Hoti.

Today's parliamentary session of management of the COVID-19 pandemic was the continuation of the previous day session in which Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti was invited to report on the management of pandemic.
