Lipjan assassination, neighbours say two families had no problems with each other

Members of the Kosovo Police are staying near the Hoxha and Jakupi families from the Great Ribar. Today, these two families clashed with firearms, resulting in one person's death, and six others have been injured. The event took place today around 7:00 p.m. in the village of Big Hallach, in the Lipjan municipality.

But their neighbors are expressing themselves in amazement, for they say that the two families are not familiar with such things and that they have never had any problems with each other.

Bahti Terbeza, a resident of the village of Ribar the Great, says that the Jakupi family of Hoxha has known him since childhood.

For these two families, he tells of Kosova Prees, that they had never had conflicts, and that they live very close now and many years.

These two families have been around here, living together for how many years, never conflicted. There were no problems, the story was happening this morning, when I went out to the store and saw the police here at”, he relates.

Because of what has happened today between the Hoxha and Jakupi family, he says that the entire village has been amazed.

I heard about the story, but something really didn't. We're also surprised that this happened, I'm just surprised they never had a conflict, adds Terbeza.

The motives of this conflict are still unknown, while the case is being investigated by relevant institutions.

Meanwhile, that village residents have told Kosovo Prees that the person who was killed is of the Jakupi family, who had come from Switzerland a few days earlier.

Police spokeswoman in the Pristina region, Florie Ahmeti, has told Kosova Preis that police have received the information today around 7:00.

“Today around 7:00 p.m., police have received information about a gunshot wound in the village of Holak, the village of Lipjan. Immediately after receiving this information at the site of the event, all necessary police units, supported by the regional unit for investigating crimes, as well as other units for testing the scene”, Ahmeti said.

The caregiver at the Emergency Clinic, Naser Syla, has shown that three people are being treated in intensive treatment as a result of severe injuries in various body parts. Where, according to him, the condition of the latter is unstable. Another one has been released for domestic treatment.
