After two remote discussions tomorrow, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, are expected to meet for the first time, face to face. In an effort to reach a final agreement, after about 20 months of delay at the European helm it will resume Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. But the Brussels summit political parties in Kosovo are looking at it in different perspectives.

While in Vetevendosje they say Prime Minister Hoti is going to the meeting as unevenly in front of Serbia, the ruling party, the LDK says enthusiastic that within this year a final agreement can be reached with Serbia. At the same time, PDK does not expect a quick final agreement.

LDK MP Faton Bislimi tells Kosovo that Thursday's meeting will only contribute to determining topics and schedules of conducting discussions until its completion.

He voiced confidence that this will be the last year of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, which, according to him, will not have any bad surprises for the country, as it will be taken under the Constitution of Kosovo.

Thursday's “Meeting in Brussels will contribute to determining the topic and schedule of conducting discussions until their completion. We're in the last year of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, that's what the White House representative Mr. Green has said, and EU representatives have said. We insist as Kosovo that this be completed as soon as it is 10 years now that we are discussing with Serbia is a big burden to deal with discussions involving the foreign policy of our country, but that connects with the internal aspect of our consolidation as a state. I strongly believe that both Prime Minister Hoti and the government, but parliament will also have a key role in dialogue. I do not expect any bad surprises for us, I believe that anyone who goes into these negotiations, including Prime Minister Hoti, are aware of the Kosovo Constitution”, he says.

Category against this meeting spoke for KosovaPress, LVV parliamentary group chief Rexhep Selimi, who says Prime Minister Hoti is going to the meeting without legitimacy, plan, team and vision.

“Steps towards this dialogue on the part of Avdullah Hoti are fallible. He is leaving to go with this report opposite Serbia, except without legitimacy, without plan, without team, without vision and also without the support of the Kosovo parliament. So Hoti would not have to go there, not only in the absence of these factors, but because Kosovo has a very uneven position in front of Serbia. And this inequality has increased Hoti's own actions, which have lifted reciprocity measures that have agreed to go unevenly even normally and virtually in front of Serbia. It has given up equality in front of Serbia, these are preconditions that we would not face Serbia with these unfavourable positions for Kosovo”, Selimi says.

And the deputy. PDK, Bajrush Xhemajli, says that at the Brussels meeting, it does not expect concrete issues to be discussed leading to reaching a final agreement.

I think it's too early to come up with this situation on concrete issues, this is the start of continuing dialogue and I don't expect something will soon be done”, he says.

In the past two weeks with the European Union's mediation, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucic, have held two virtual meetings.

After these discussions, the chief executive in Kosovo has consistently suggested that it has sought mutual recognition and respect for the Constitutional and sovereign order in the final agreement.
