Kosovo will increase the capabilities of testing suspected persons for COVID-19.
This has been disclosed by Health Minister Armend Zemaj, in his report to the Kosovo government.
He said the rise in the most infected cases has started since government decisions Kurti decided on the third phase of gradual opening.
We've been facing a number of coronary cases since we first met. The third phase of the gradual opening has started with the decisions of the past former government”, Zemaj said.
Speaking of current mobilization, Zemaj reiterated that there are 700 beds available, but that capacity will be increased.
We have mobilised other infectious departments in Regional Hospitals, which means we have 700 beds available. Capacity will be added depending on IKSHPK recommendations. We have a stable supply from the ministry but also from donations”, he said further.
Also, Zemaj indicated that Kosovo would buy seven respirators and 100 thousand tests for COVID-19.
“MSH has opened the shopping process for the purchase of seven RT devices The PCR, which will be located in Kosovo municipalities. With tools from O BSH, Kosovo will buy 100,000 tests”, he said.
