Former Health Minister wrote on his page on Facebook that the Hoti Government is showing that it does not have the capacity to manage the situation.
“Enormity rate of cases with Coddy-19 in Kosovo is the main indicator of a series of failures that have systematically followed this pandemic. Today more than ever, the lack of decision - making and vision is seen The government for confronting the pandemic”, Ismaili said.
Full statement by Ismaili Bridge:
Situation with David-19 in Kosovo is dramatic and the health system is on the brink of collapse. That fact should alert everyone. It's nonsense. The government further respond to pandemic with such an approach, without clear policies that would turn the entire situation upside down.
Today's Government Conference Hoti once again highlighted the lack of competence of this government. Testing devices will be purchased, hospital capacities will increase, but without any deadlines and any other details. We have five months of confronting the pandemic and responses of the “type that we're in process” are extremely late.
Enormous growth of cases with David-19 in Kosovo is the main indicator of a series of failures that have systematically followed this pandemic. Today more than ever, the lack of decision - making and vision is seen Government to face pandemic.
According to the World Organization Health, countries that test only severe symptoms, or hospitalised, have higher mortality rates than countries that do frequent tests. This is a clear message that testing needs to be increased so that this very high mortality rate can be reduced. There has been no progress in this regard so far.
until Kosovo is officially affected by the virus by over 70,000 people, testing capacities are almost the same when the country had only 1 infected.
Kurti government and the Hoti Government for five months failed to raise the level of testing, and this is the best evidence of their defeat to pandemic. In the absence of a clear plan, Minister Zemaj is creating different mechanisms to manage the pandemic and is making the decision-making process difficult.
Such organisation formed into committees, different commissions and boards that are not co-ordinated is co-production. This formula of organization distributes responsibility and causes the citizen to deepen into a health crisis.
Pandemia has caused a crisis of serious consequences, and for this The government needs to use more of its capacities to increase the efficiency of the health system. The hard work and sacrifice of all health workers should be followed by real government policies to ease the negative effects of the virus as much as possible. Otherwise, Kosovo will sink even more into crisis.
