Italy is registering an increase in the number of infected people because of the spread of infection in postal service in the country's north and among the escaped migrants at sea.
In the last 24 hours, 234 other infected persons were registered, and nine others died as a result of infections.
A total of 71 new cases of infection, which is a rise compared to the past few days, have been recorded in the Emilia-Romana region because of the spread of infection in the large courier service in Bologna.
In Calabria, which had several or no new infected days, 28 infected persons were registered among some 800 migrants rescued from smugglers in the Mediterranean Sea and moved to that region.
Calabria Governor Jole Sandelli called on the government to protect the local population, looking for sea ships in which rescue migrants would be kept until they are tested for coronary.
On the other hand, Lombardia, Italy's most hit region, which recorded considerably more than 1,000 new infections in one day during the pandemic, had 77 new cases in the previous 24 hours.
In Italy, which was Europe's most affected country at the beginning of the epidemic, the infection has so far been confirmed to more than 243,000 people, of whom 34.954 have died.
Authorities say the number of people infected and dead in the country is noticeably higher than official, since many infections with mild or no symptoms have gone unnoticed.
