Hoxhaj: Government with wrong access to dialogue opened up the topic of Serb displaced people closed in 2005

Hoxhaj said at the media conference that the PDK is not against dialogue, but is seriously against the approach and the wrong way the Kosovo government is approaching dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

He said the meeting two days ago in Brussels showed that the Government of Kosovo is not politically prepared and consistently prepared for dialogue, and it entered such a process without a platform, without a strategy, without consensus, without co-ordination, without experience for this process, and without any experts.

“As a consequence of this wrong approach, Kosovo has resumed dialogue with Serbia without deadlines, without principles and without unity, damaging Kosovo's negotiating position. The only preparation is naive self-confidence, which will be able to lead this process in a way without head-to-head”, Hoxhaj said.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo considers it hasty, without clarity and without necessary political and institutional support to meet Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti in Brussels with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. I want to say from the beginning that the PDK is not against dialogue, but is seriously against the approach and wrong way the Kosovo government is approaching dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

The meeting two days ago in Brussels showed that the Government of Kosovo is not politically prepared and consistently prepared for dialogue and it entered into such a process:

· No platform
· No strategy
· No consensus
· No coordinates
· No experience for this process, and
· No experts.

Dear citizens,

As a result of this wrong approach, Kosovo has resumed dialogue with Serbia without deadlines, without principles and without unity, damaging Kosovo's negotiating position.

The only preparation is the naive self-confidence, which will guide this process in a faceless manner.

The meeting in Brussels is only a blow to the ongoing efforts of all political parties in Kosovo to build a joint stance against Serbia.

This is the same action followed by the former government Kurti, who drafted a list of homework without co-ordination with America outside, and without unifying the main political parties inside.

The meeting in Brussels was not supposed to be held at all. If the government had little idea of dialogue, it had to demand that the meeting be postponed to the creation of the most appropriate circumstances, such as the return of the president to Kosovo, interilateral co-ordination, reaching consensus and preparing serious and conservatives for this process, which is so important, difficult and serious.

When you participate in a process that is not prepared, mistakes are in shape and content. For the first time, the Kosovo delegation agreed to stay and sit down without protocol and unevenly, where the EU mediator was sitting with the other side.

It is the first photo of a non-bilatheral meeting of the country's prime minister, which we have of all meetings in Brussels in 2011.

More than that are strategic mistakes. At the Brussels meeting, it was seen that Prime Minister Hoti has been deceived by Serbia in defining and listing subjects.

For the first time, the topic of Serb displaced people from Kosovo has been introduced, which has been closed for more than a decade, 15 years ago. Kosovo has fulfilled all obligations in that process and the only displaced ones that cannot return to their properties are Albanians from the northern part of Mitrovica.

Such a theme has not been part of negotiations either in Vienna (2006-07) or in the Brussels dialogue since 2011. From this topic, Serbia seeks to turn Kosovo back into a country where the return of Serbs to Kosovo is not possible. (Serbia's goal through this topic is to return the topic of Serbia's property to Kosovo. If that happens, it will be a consequence of the wrong approach of the Government of Kosovo from the last meeting in Brussels.

For more, the topic of the undiscovered, EU special envoy for dialogue Miroslav Lajcak called it “ibolistic) relating it to other topics. This is disturbing.

Prime Minister Hoti and Lajcak seem to know that the truth about the missing Kosovo is in the archives of Serbia's army and police. This issue is not symbolic at all but an open wound from the timing of the war that requires the immigrant solution.

A heavy inferiority complex on the part of Hoti v. Vucicicis, whom he was subjected to, was witnessed by the meeting in Brussels.

Prime Minister Hoti, I need to understand that he does not recognise dialogue as his process or topics, nor the way of preparing a meeting, nor negotiating. If anyone loses the epilogue of unprepared negotiations is Kosovo. Any concessions for his lack of knowledge will cost Kosovo now and the generations to come.

Before turning dialogue into priority priorities, the Government Hoti has at least three top priorities in Kosovo, which he deliberately neglected.

Failure to face pandemic, fraud to create a 1 billion-euro fund for economic recovery, and lack of concrete support for workers are urgent needs that require immediate response.
