The Atlantic Council will bring together leaders of six Western Balkan countries: Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia at the Western Balkans Partnership Summit.
The meeting as shown on the site of this council is held on Wednesday (29.07,200) in virtual form.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, Albania's Edi Rama, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq and his counterpart from Northern Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, will be part of this meeting.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is represented in this event by Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, while Montenegro is represented by Economy Minister Dragica Sekulic.
It becomes known that the leaders of the six Western Balkan countries will discuss advancing regional economic co-operation, the Klan Kosova broadcast.
“The expected economic and social environments of COVID-19 in the Balkans require urgent regional action to avoid economic deadlock and possible instability that comes with it”.
” This agreement will show the commitment of leaders to boost economic growth by following the free movement of goods, persons and services beyond the region's borders. The move will also set in motion an important plan for attracting foreign investment and accelerating the effective deployment of recovery funds from COVID-1950.
“Based on its efforts and broad networks in Southeast Europe, the Atlantic Council collects this Western Balkan Partnership summit to facilitate and promote concrete steps among leaders towards regional economic integration that can stimulate economic recovery after COVID-19, strengthen the region, competitiveness and strengthen its authenticity for investors”.
” The tangible measures agreed on at the Summit-related and included in existing regional initiatives and dialogues will send a significant political message for the Euro-Atlantic future of the Western Balkans at a time of uncertainty”, the council's announcement said.
The Atlantic Council is a Washington-based foreign policy centre.
