The Health Commission approves the pandemic bill

Members of all political parties that are part of the Commission for Health and Social Goodness in principle have voted in favour of the Bill for the Prevention and Combat of Pandemia COVID-19 on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. They sought by the responsible actors that this bill be prosecuted as soon as possible in the Kosovo Assembly for reading [...]

They demanded that the bill be processed as soon as possible in the Kosovo Assembly for First Reading.

The chairman of this commission, Albena Resiti, has expressed everyone's readiness to contribute that this bill is as complete as possible.

Reshim: The Health Commission supports in principle the draft law on prevention and fighting of COVID19 pandemic

I consider that the Commission for Health and Social Goodness in principle supports the draft law on prevention and fighting of COVID-19 in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. And it requires all responsible actors to bring it back to the first-read convention and then make our contribution to all of these needs for meeting the changes that were cited”, he stressed.

The member of this commission from PDK's ranks, Ura Ismaili, until he gave his comments on the bill said it is in principle in favor of this bill, but demanded that this law not be made outwardly.

He said this law should also be in service to the health system and staff.

If there's a vacuumer going on, what are the steps the government takes to complete that gaper, because otherwise we're acting in neutral form that the solution will automatically come and it doesn't come automatically... Support for this law is both as a parliamentary group and as an MP, but don't go to the face-to-face saying that we are giving the minister a restraining authorization to a neighborhood there or here, but that yes, but at least we give him the health system the support that they too get beyond what they have today and beyond the authorisations they have today, he said.

Although the bill for the prevention and fighting of COVID19, Vetevendosje Movement MP Fitim Haziri said this law is not perfect and needs changes.

“We also see measures taken last night by the government noted that even there are violations of the Constitution to prevent us from repeating the violation of the Constitution is necessary to establish on legal grounds that will not repeat such actions. This legal basis is regulated by this law that has come into our consideration. Is this law perfect, it's not perfect? Does this bill need changes, needs improvement, and is our chance that when it comes and is re-treated on the commission then let's examine the best ones and propose them and we adhere to this law”, he said.

However, the deputy chairman of this commission from the LDK ranks, Haxhi Avdyli, demanded that this bill be processed at the next session, as he estimated we are delayed in this direction.

The support of all parliamentary groups shows a maturity I think should vote and send this law in first reading. And there is a great work to be done between the two readings and the fulfillment and the change and the amendments we can make and serve to make this law more complementary, more complete... We're too late, the citizen, the government and the ministry are waiting for this law for their further work, and if this law is for the pandemic curve to fall then we would have done a very big job”, he stressed.

His associate, Ekrem Hyseni, until he spoke out in favor of this bill with several changes demanded that a particular stimulus be made for health personnel who handle patients who are infected with COVID19.

“Stimulation that is made for personnel directly dealing with pandemic. I had wanted this commission to make a proposal, after contrasting between health professionals facing pandemic. I had isolated doctors from intensive care, flunologians, polymologists, Neurology Clinic, and other support staff to be separated from others who deal directly with the virus and stimulate”, Hyseni stressed.

Members of the Commission for Health and Social Goodness have requested that the report come to the situation with COVIID19 Health Minister Armendi Zemaj and USKDP director Valbon Krasniqi's task adviser.
