The Democratic Party of Kosovo has criticised the current government for mismanaging the pandemic situation, demanding that anti law be adopted as soon as possible. - COVID 19. This party's MP, Bekim Haxhiu, has said that the current government is making the mistakes of the former government, not taking adequate measures and better managing this pandemic. Below is his complete statement: Situation with COVIDD-19 on Kosovo is heavy. Within the last 48 hours alone, 330 positive cases and 17 cases of death with COVID-19 have been recorded.
In my name and my name The PDK, we express the most sincere condolences to family members for their loved ones. We also demand that no case be tried and allow investigations and time to speak their words. We must not waste more time to approve the Anti - Law - COVID-19, which, according to the PDK, would have to focus on three major measures. The first, to regulate the deployment of measures for each sector and penalisation in detail for any disrespect. This implies strict measures involving mobilization and co-ordination of activities between central institutions, administration, municipalities, inspectors and police, so as to control 24 hours in the battle against pandemic.
Immpartiality does not mean a return to the state of total economic closure, society, businesses, borders or restrictions on freedom of movement. But strict respect for rules and fines for anyone who breaks those measures, as are all European countries. Second, the mistakes of the former government The course in pandemic management is also continuing by the new government. Unfortunately, no repeated calls have been heard PDK's starting to grow the number of tests at the level Kosovo is also decentralised in municipalities. Kosovo has the capacity at least to do tests of up to 1,000 a day. It's painful to hear every day citizens fail to run tests on Kosovo and is forced to go to neighbouring countries. And most countries have entered with serological tests that despite their shortcomings are reflecting an idea of the profile of patients infected with this disease and a real percentage that they have passed. Unfortunately, Kosovo doesn't nearly know, and it doesn't have a rough percentage. PDK proposes with these tests a sample of 10,000 people at the level Kosovo and see where we stand as a population in relation to this disease. Third, that's also related to what I highlighted above is that there's more lack of transparency and information on this same situation as in the former government. Kurt and former Minister Vitita.
So all citizens learn at the end of the day is the number of deaths, infected and healed. However, other basic information on the nature of disease on the sick is lacking, the circumstances of infection, and what are currently the largest cases of infection in the Kosovo. So, Kosovo has entered the opening phase without increasing new capacities, without good planning to decentralise the treatment of these cases in municipalities, involvement in a private hospital plan and, above all, mobilizing human capacities and necessary medical equipment. Therefore, this situation is the responsibility of the Government and the Parliament to act as soon as the Anti Law is voted on. - COVID-19.
The PDK will support this initiative! Once again, we thank and offer full support to the health staff, who is carrying out this battle every day without saving anything. We urgently demand that the Government of Kosovo, with special decision, increase the salaries of health professionals as planned with the Law of Salaries, adding increased increases in the request of nurses. We once appeal to citizens, separately businesses, to really stick to the measures. Put on masks, keep your physical distance and clean your hands.
