Former Prime Minister Haradinaj hopes that under Germany's chairmanship, Kosovo will gain visa liberalisation.
This is Haradinaj's full status:
As of today, Germany leads the presidency of the EU Council for the next six months. The German state of consistency has supported Kosovo towards independence and statehood, so leading the EU by an ally like Germany is good news for Kosovo citizens. Chancellor Merkel, like nobody else in the EU, understands Kosovo's needs that have long been suppressed as a result of the European Union's slow policies. I have no doubt that during Germany's six-month term at the helm of the EU, a new energy will complete the visa liberalisation process for Kosovo citizens and advance Kosovo's integration processes in European Union organisations and institutions.
