Gucati does not hear Wessel calling: Protest to be held on 9 July

Despite what Democratic Party of Kosovo chairman Kadri Veselini called not to hold protests due to the status of the pandemic that has caused Coronavirus, Gucati announced, however, the protest will be held.

Gucati said this decision came after this was decided by the Steering Council and the headship of the KLA's OVL.

On the other hand, he said that through this protest, he would stand up for all KLA veterans and promised that he would not risk the lives of citizens by respecting the rules of health institutions.

Gucati announced that the protest will take place on July 9th at 12:00.

The Kosovo Liberation Army veterans' body acts on the basis of decisions taken by the Steering Council and its chairmanship, regarding the July 9th protest in Pristina, at 12:00, we will act as best it is, and with the right to always stand up to former KLA soldiers, we will not risk the lives of any citizen, the health of citizens is above all, the KLA OV has its structures to decide how to act! ”, Gucati announced.

Kadri Wessel has asked the War Veterans Organisation to cancel the protest warned on July 9th.

Wessel through a video message has demanded cancellation of the protest due to the pandemic.

Thank you from the heart of my fellow fighters and all citizens for their unhurt support. But at this time of pandemic, we have concerns for citizens. Therefore, at the most sincere request, I beg them to cancel the protest warned on July 9,”, Wessel said.

O V L- The KLA has called for widespread protest in Pristina in opposition to the Special Court after the establishment of charges by Special Prosecutor to President Thaci and PDK Chairman Kadri Veselini, who is expected to be confirmed or even rejected by the Special Chambers Judge.
