According to the German magazine “

Germany's federal police the previous day launched a broad operation against traffickers and alleged passport counterfeiters. Since last evening, security forces have raided a total of 26 residences, restaurants and businesses in five regions.

These raids, led by the Public Prosecutor's Office and Hanover's Federal Police, were conducted in the Low Saxon regions, Hamburg, Nordrichin Westfalen, Thuringia and Baden-Wurttmberg. The shares included 530 police officers, while authorities have issued three-person arrest papers, the Express newspaper broadcast.

According to data from the popular German magazine, at the centre of these investigations is Albanian from Kosovo, Shefqet H., 65. It becomes known he was arrested in Schenoverdingen. Investigators accuse him of counterfeiting passports, mainly for Albanian citizens, enabling them to stay illegally in Germany.

The arrested Kosovar had a special trick method. It is believed that he offered his clients real passports, but with false seals of border controls in exchange for money. As Albanian citizens have the right to stay in Germany at a maximum of 90 days within a half-year visa-free semi-year, its clients have been able to live illegally in Germany for years due to false seals. This thing has not been observed during checkups.

Shefs H. has had a kind of “passport sponsor”, especially in organised crime circles in northern Germany. For example, he is said to have equipped drug gangs with counterfeit passports and other documents so that they could do business in Germany. For counterfeit seals, he demanded a 500-euro reward. He has criminal records of similar crimes. Police have found numerous evidence in his apartment, including hundreds of documents and seals.
