Finance Ministry Shows When 170 Euros Come Up for Workers

The overall implementation of Pako Emergency Fiscal will happen only when the budget rewrite bill is adopted in the Kosovo Assembly.

Finance Minister Lulzim Krasniqi's adviser tells Kosovo that there is no legal basis for the entire emergency package to be implemented.

He stressed that budget review is necessary to accommodate salaries of 170 euros for business workers who have been influenced by pandemic.

“We have conducted the budget revision, which has gone to the Kosovo Assembly for further proceedings. Through budget revision, the vehicles have been accessed through the right budgetary lines in order to execute emergency fiscal package with efficiency. As the budget revision is carried out... you know that a large sum for the emergency fiscal package has not yet been executed. Just because of the lack of budgetary accommodation for this package. Therefore, the budget review -- passing this review -- is more than necessary in the Kosovo Assembly in order to clear the way for the full execution of the fiscal emergency package”, Krasniqi says.

He said that the last few days have had some payments for certain measures, but, as he said in much smaller and as much as there have been available means.
