Some countries have announced how much will be made available to them from the 750 billion-euro recovery packages.
Countries that had the largest spread of the Coronavirus, for example Italy and Spain, will receive the largest financial support from the EU. Here's what we know so far about the way the funds are distributed:
As reported earlier, Italy has been granted 209 billion euros, including 81 billion in grants and 127 billion loans.
140 billion euros are destined for Spain, 72.7 billion euros of which will be grants and the rest in loans, the BBC reports, broadcasts Klan Kosova.
Greece said the EU would allocate about 72 billion euros to help deal with the results from Covid-19, but did not specify whether it was in the form of grants or loans.
France's government said it will receive 40 billion in subsidies as part of the deal, with further details of the recovery plan announced on 24 August.
