COVID-19 also affects oncology, two doctors become positive

In the Oncology Clinic, two doctors have resulted positive with COVID-19, they are in self-isolation and their state of health is good.

So has made known to Kosova Prees, the director of the Oncology Clinic, Ilir Kurtishi, who said that in addition to the rise of temperature and muscle pain his colleagues are recovering.

In the last two days, we have two personnel who have been tested as positive and have been self-insisted for almost a week, and we hope that the rest of the staff will be in good condition, not being infected, and continuing their work on treating patients... Well, they've had a little bit of a rising temperature and a slight muscle pain and are now only recovering”, he said.

Kurtish also pointed out that the source of the infection is not known because of numerous contacts that may have been available from outside.

They think that perhaps the contacts they have had on the outside with family or friends when they've gone out of the country, that they could get an infection or that they've touched something that has been contaminated”, Kurtish noted.

Oncology Clinic chief says some of the staff are awaiting testing, but some are also waiting for the results.

The rest of us are tested and in these two days we're getting information about the status of the rest of the staff”, the Oncology Clinic chief said.

Currently active in Kosovo with COVID-19 are 1801 cases, the total number of cures to date is a total of 2003 cases, while the total number of positive cases has reached 3886. The battle with COVID has been lost by 82 people.
