The Council of Counseling for Coronavirus, led by Lul Raka

Led by microbiologist Lul Raka, today in Pristina, the Council of Adviser for Covid-19 has begun working, formed by Health Minister Armend Zemaj.

At the first meeting of this board, Minister Zemaj said that through the formation of this body, the Ministry of Health has specifically wanted us to address the need to have professional information and advice about Avid-19 for an adequate response to the situation with this disease in Kosovo.

He said the Board will provide functioning advice to the Ministry of Health to improve public health, prevent physical and mental illness of the population.

We need this advice in all segments, including aspects of the research and diagnosis of cases to their clinical treatment, which today presents the greatest challenge, as the number of those in hospitalization, or those who will be able to look for in the future, said Zemaj.

Minister Zemaj has also thanked former Health Ministers Ferid Agan and Imet Canman, who have responded positively to the invitation to contribute, stressing how the minister expects the board to have a role as critical as it is to identify even shortcomings in the measures taken in order to further improve and manage the spread of Covid-19.

Adviser to the Council of Adviser Lull Raka said he said in time of pandemic, any action that should be taken should be made this scientific basis, while health professionals have the responsibility to respond to the call to contribute. Our joint action will be not to attack people, but to attack the common enemy at this time is virus”, Professor Raka said.

Other board members have expressed their willingness to use their experiences and professional preparations in order for institutions to consult to bring about fair decisions that will affect the preservation of public health of the population by David-19.

The board will prepare data and advice for different segments about the pandemic, in order for the MS to offer real-time advice to bring about decisions that respond to the current situation and various predictions about Covid-19.
