Coronavirus infected a doctor at Gjilan hospital

A doctor at Gjilan General Hospital has proved positive with COVIDD19, while only two people are being treated as corruption suspect.

So announced the director of Gjilan General Hospital, Nisret Hajrullahu, who for Kosova Prees, said that every day in this hospital, the samples of persons suspected of the virus are taken to the IKSHP in Pristina.

There were only one patient who were suspicious and tested, we actually don't have COVIDs in the department... Each day, we almost have that they mean, or refuse, or that they are in poor clinical mirrors that they can expect. Initially, indicators are assigned for the test, and the next day they enter into planning for testing and test implementation... not until yesterday another doctor has been diagnosed, not”, he said.

Hajrullahu, while speaking of the capabilities of Gjilan hospital, said that currently 10 beds are dedicated to those infected with coronarys, but that depending on the situation they can increase capacities in other departments as well.

We've currently assigned 10 beds to the Infective Department for suspicious cases and cases that are with positive COVID but have clinical mirrors and we can manage it. In contrast, units of intermediate and Pulmology diseases have isolation rooms for cases that are with suspicious clinical mirrors that should or are planned to test those patients... This capacity may be increased depending on needs, but they are currently dedicated to suspicious cases and COVID”, Hajrullahu stressed.

Gjilan General Hospital Director Nisret Hajrullahu for Kosova Prees also said they are well supplied with equipment needed to treat patients with COVID.

We're actually well-equipped right now I don't know how this is going to happen, but right now we have material for protective measures, masks, disinfectant, cloaks for an epidemiology capacity, we have... we don't have something special therapy because there's no particular treatment protocol but with symptoms therapy that we say we're equipped with infusions, temperature therapy, something basic antibiotics we have... Besides staffing the Infectious Diseases Department, doctors are six infected, but still with nurses we can make moves from other departments that can come to the aid in case of”, he said.

Only during yesterday's 113 people have proved positive with Coronavirus, 67 have recovered.

The total number of positive cases from March 13th to Kosovo has gone to 2991, until the total number of cures to date total 1,644 cases, while active cases are 1293. A total of 54 people in our country who have had other associated diseases have lost their battle with COVID19
