United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has warned that the world is at a <x0 critical crossroads”, while calling for new models in global governance that would address inequalities that are burdened by the coronary pandemic crisis.

“COVIDD-19 (the disease causing Coronavirus) has been compared to X-rays, displaying the fragile skeleton of societies we have built”, Secretary Guterres said.

“are exposing mistakes and lies worldwide: Lies that free markets can provide health care to all, fraud that we live in a post-racist world, myth that we are all on the same ship”, he added, broadcast Rel.

According to the UN chief, the main promoters of inequality are systematic racism, patriarchism, gaps in access to technology and inequalities in global governance.

He said the world needs new social protection policies, which would include health care and the possibility of global equality in personal income.

Coronavirus has infected more than 14 million people worldwide, while another 600 thousand have died.

The UN has called for poor countries to be helped with a $10.3 billion fund.
