United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has warned that the world is at a <x0 critical crossroads”, while calling for new models in global governance that would address inequalities that are burdened by the coronary pandemic crisis.
“COVIDD-19 (the disease causing Coronavirus) has been compared to X-rays, displaying the fragile skeleton of societies we have built”, Secretary Guterres said.

According to the UN chief, the main promoters of inequality are systematic racism, patriarchism, gaps in access to technology and inequalities in global governance.

Coronavirus has infected more than 14 million people worldwide, while another 600 thousand have died.
The UN has called for poor countries to be helped with a $10.3 billion fund.
