He has shown that his business, which has six shopping points, is facing numerous problems because of measures against spreading pandemic.
Rukiqi has called on the Kosovo government to take measures, while detailedly recounting the danger facing his business.
I am not only the head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, but also co-founder and co-owner at a middle-size company” he wrote among other things, past Periscope.
Full status:
Kosovo has no luxury to lose any jobs
For those of you who don't know it, and for others who deliberately gave our commitments to business representation:
I am not only the head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, but also the co-founder and co-owner in a medium-size company;
The company also has the share of production and sale;
The company has 6 retail points and a production point;
The company, where possible, uses final products and raw materials, only from local production;
Like any other business in Kosovo, as a result of the crisis caused by the pandemic COVID-19, this business is also facing the existing risk. Where this danger comes from:
6 selling points, 6 monthly rents. The landlords have yet to accept payment from the government, and the same have no convenience and opportunity to wait and understand indefinitely.
A visible decline in circulation (no more than 50%, compared to the same period of the year described)
The need for new stock supplies, since old sheets bought in front of the pandemic, are out of use. Very few suppliers are willing to offer new supplies, with expectations of payment. So it takes cash ready for any new supply.
The workers are unmotivated, since they have not yet accepted a full payment of 170 from the Government
The pressure to perform obligations to banks (by thousands of euros monthly installments) and to various public services;
Etj, etc.
What it means to this business, fast institutional inaction in supporting businesses
We will be forced to close at least some selling points (at least 25 jobs will be deleted)
I illustrated it by personal example, but there are thousands and thousands of examples that illustrate the plight of businesses. Tomorrow, I will address all Kosovo Assembly deputies with paper to appeal for quick institutional action in support of businesses. Kosovo has no luxury of losing any jobs.
