Parliamentary elections in Serbia were held on 21 June, even though it was meant to be held on April 26th. They were postponed because of the David-19 pandemic.
The political commitment of Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister, who practically carried out the duty of Albanian diplomacy chief Gent Cakaj, resulted in a major and historic victory for Albanians in Serbia, reaching the tïi win three deputies full with 0.85% of the vote, or over 24 thousand votes.
The eventual participation of Albanians in the elections would increase the likelihood that the Radical Party would enter the Parliament, or even the Eurosceptic party “is enough to increase by increasing the percentage.
Vuciq, who came to power in 2012, had faced major anti-government protests. Protesters demanded more media freedom and free and correct elections, but ministers' resignations as well.
The Alliance for Serbia, led by the former Serbian negotiator in the technical dialogue (led by the Kosovo side of Edita Tahiri), Borko Stefanovic, had boycotted the elections and staged major protests since Vuciki's arrival in power.
It is believed that participants had been between 25 thousand and 70 thousand people.
