The Kosovo government has completed the budget revision process, as well as sent to the Assembly. The Ministry of Finance is asking the Parliament to quickly approve the budget revision to pave the way for the execution of tools in the Emergency Pack and start implementing the Pack and Recuperence. Deputy Minister Agim Krasniqi told Online Economy that the budget has been reduced to 2.6 billion euros.
Krasniqi said that if the budget review process's vote fails, there will be major losses where citizens and businesses will mostly be hurt. The review process has ended has been difficult. It had to be coordinated with the ministries of the line and to meet the urgent needs that have been involved in planning to cover the expenses of the Emergency Pack and prepare funds for economic recovery. The budget revision compared to the original 3 billion budget is at 2.6 billion euros”. “The good of the revision process is that public investments have been preserved. The budget has gone to the Parliament. It had been good to get the hearing in quick and approved. Parco Emergency cannot be executed without a budget review, nor will Pacon Regeneration begin. The losses will be for citizens and businesses”, Krasniqi said.
With the budget revision vote, 100m euros could be automatically executed. Krasniqi sees the revision process as good, reports EO. But Krasniqi says if the review process fails there will be major consequences. As he said unemployment would increase, including in the public sector as well as less production. It immediately allows the means to implement the emergency package, immediately 80 to 100 million, to increase citizens' well-being and aggregate demand. The consequences will be that we will have fewer production, employment or employment evasion of even the public sector”. In the next year, if this political stalemate continues then the damage will be greater if we delay the process.
The revision process will take place in the first reading of the situation. This time there is no possibility of introducing new projects”, Krasniqi said.
