Borrell encouraged both sides to have an approach to today's talks under a spirit of compromise and pragmatism and to have the EU's future for their people in mind.
I am glad to see that the EU has returned and has taken the wheel of this process. Serbia's president and Kosovo's prime minister are with us today in Brussels for the first physical meeting and meeting for the second time within the week, the two leaders showed their full commitment to the EU-brokered dialogue between them. Today I have expectations for a constructive dialogue for the first element of our talks, which will contribute to a significant normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
