In general, risk factors for more serious symptoms from COVID-19 include age, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, smoking, overweight, and genetic factors.
Studies, one of which is published in The New England Journal of Medicine, also suggest that people with blood type A may have higher risk of COVID-19 and severe symptoms, while people with blood type 0 may have lower risk and milder symptoms.
However, scientists who have worked in the study say that they would never say to someone with blood type 0 to remain calm because there is less risk of infection.
