Balkan regional summit held again against Vuciqi on Wednesday

Representatives of Western Balkan countries will participate in the virtual summit organised by the Atlantic Council on Wednesday, July 29th, the international organisation's site is reported.

According to the announcement, participants at the Western Balkan Partnership Summit will be Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski.

Albania will be represented by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Bosnia and Herzegovina by Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, while Montenegro is represented by Economy Minister Dragica Sekulic.

Summit topics will reportedly be for improving regional economic co-operation.

“Economic and Social Conditions of COVID-19 in the Balkans require urgent regional action in order to avoid permanent economic impasse and possible instability coming with it, the Atlantic Council said.

The “Measures agreed on in Samit ʹ linked and integrated with existing regional initiatives and dialogue ) will send a significant political message to the Euro-Atlantic future of the Western Balkans at a time of added uncertainty,”, the Council's statement said.

The Atlantic Council is a Washington-based foreign policy centre.
