Health authorities in Vienna warned its citizens not to travel to Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova because of the spread of the new coronary in these countries.

All travelers arriving in Austria from the three countries mentioned will be placed in 14 days quarantine.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said at a media conference Wednesday that warnings are for Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova.

On the basis of the warnings, anyone entering Austria from one of these countries must show the negative test for coronary or be isolated for 14 days.

The Austrian government said it will increase controls at border crossings with Hungary and Slovenia.

The announcement comes a day after Romania's Foreign Ministry said 99 Romanian citizens came up positive in tests for Corleone in the Austrian town of Linci. Most of those with positive tests were immigrant workers.

On July 1st, Austria has issued a similar travel warning to Western Balkan countries: Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Serbia, northern Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since the outbreak of pandemic in mid-March, Austria has confirmed over 18,000 cases of coronary.

Of them, 706 have died and over 16,700 have recovered. At the Austrian border with Hungary and Slovenia, the controls of travellers reached by the Balkans are intensified, while all buses are also checked.
