Austria will once again make it mandatory to place masks in supermarkets, bank sports and post offices, the government announced today, citing the continued increase in coronary contamination cases.
“We have decided to make it mandatory to wear masks in supermarkets, banks and post offices to protect endangered persons, forced to go there”, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz stressed at a press conference.
“masca also has a symbolic effect. If it disappears from everyday life, we are less attentive to”, he added.
This 8.8 million country closed borders, airports, all non-key businesses, restaurants, schools and universities in mid-March.
Austria then re-opened these businesses and made the mask mandatory in supermarkets in early April before easing restrictive measures. The mask was only mandatory at the pharmacy and public transportation.
On Monday, for the first time since May 29th, the number of hospital admissions as a result of the choreography passed 100 in Austria, where 170 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
