The number of cases rose to 1,012 on Monday, according to data published by the Health Ministry in Vienna.
Health Minister Rudolf Anschober said the infection was shown in localised groups with investigative paths of the infection.
One of them is the regional group around the northern town of Linz. Since Sunday, 57 other cases have been reported, bringing the total to 414.
Vienna has 347 active cases. Four of the nine Austrian regions did not register new cases of infection.
The number of active cases had dropped below 1,000 on May 20, according to health authorities.
