Police have blocked the city centre, located 250 miles west of Kiev, while the assaulters' demands have not been disclosed immediately, writes Independent, translates Periscope.
Officials said in a Facebook statement that the hijacker was armed and was carrying explosives.
This hijacker was later identified and reportedly expressing frustration with Ukraine's “system” in social media, according to authorities.
Local media have reported that gunfire were heard in the area, but it remains unclear if anyone was hurt.
