Ibrahim Salauca, who owns the restaurant “Koha”, says that despite the government-made measures that may be good for citizens' health, his businesses are badly damaged.
The hallouka says that because of the ban on gastronomial work by 9:00, they have been forced to dismiss some workers from work and are in danger of reducing the wages of workers currently at work.
These measures are good for people, but for us, we're very damaged in this case because our biggest job is between 8:00, 20:30, by this time of the season, I talk, but this year I see that we're not going to have... We can't afford this and in these circumstances we're also going to be running some workers because we can't afford these conditions, and we don't have three points, we don't have three jobs, we've already got six hours to work, and we're going to cut down wages, so we're going to have a deal with the workers, so it's been hard to express it.
Salauca is expressed disappointed by the country's institutions for the purpose of their recovery.
For 20 years we paid taxes and now the job of the government to help us with something, but we are a little disappointed, no matter what government we're disappointed that we can't afford it.... Remove it more than two months from running and there'll be no more work opportunities, there's a lot of difficulty to continue business”, he stressed.
Even Bilgin Gjigolli the owner of the pizza “Vintage”, in Prizren, complains his new business measures are sending him towards bankruptcy.
Gjigoll is expecting the hand of the state to help him to overcome his current business crisis.
“We've been seriously affected by that normally we work out of 900 to 24:00 of the night, we normally have this gain, that there's a tourist place here we have to wait a summer or two months to do some circulation or profit... Many have damaged us even January February we haven't been working on has been a disaster, plus these three or four months of pandemic is still going on, by 21:00 with shut-up shops why we're expecting a help from them, not in the government there for one of another, he says, not so this guy says, not by the next, not by the way of the workers tomorrow, but by tomorrow they're afraid that if they're walking through the door they're going to shut down at 21:00 hours... most of course he's saying 40 percent....
Onar Kochbashli, a member of Kosovo's Hoteleriko-Touristic Oda, says the measures for non-execution of gastronomy businesses from 9:00 to 0500, have placed these businesses in a serious position.
He expects the government to fully support these businesses.
As much as it has a positive effect because first people's life is more valuable than many other things, on the other hand the negative trend in gastronom. It's a really heavy position, and I'm not just saying in Prizren. Day by day this is affecting the negative side also because the workers who are working in these” centers are suffering, he stressed.
After increasing cases with COVID19 in recent weeks, the Government of Kosovo took steps to limit the movement of citizens between 9:00 and 0500 in the most infected municipalities.
During this time the operation of gastronomy in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo was also banned. /B. Ibishi/
