While Vetevendosje has backed the Alliance for Albanians and may have been disappointed with the outcome, analyst Faton Abdullah has openly expressed his joy in the DUI's victory.
As the reason for such a thing, he has given “the diligent ( Ali Ahmeti's) expectation of establishing co-operation and approach with Kosovo institutions in various areas. ”
Ahmeti's party had competed in these elections with the slogan “Albania's first prime minister” until it had proposed a name from the civil society named Ziber, Periscopi follows.

An additional reason that makes me happy to see Ali Ahmeti (BDI)'s victory in Macedonia is his earnest tendency now to establish co-operation and approach with Kosovo institutions in various areas.
