The Presevo municipality since Monday has declared a state of emergency because of the rapid spread of the coronary in this city.
Fear of being treated in one of the hospitals in Serbia, whether in Vranje, Surdulica or Nis, as well as the lack of awareness that there is corruption, has led the citizens of Presevo to hide that they are affected by this virus.
The director of the Health House in Presevo municipality, Driton Salihu, has told news.net, that there are currently six people affected by coronarys who have been confirmed under the PCR test.
The “confirmed with PCR test is 6 and they're only lying in the hospital and the others that we've done the test have turned negative”, Salihu said.
He has said that in recent days the flow of patients has increased markedly, and all of this has happened since the opening of borders.
Various from March and April, when we had a very small number of patients at first, it was like a mystery of this disease as elsewhere, and we didn't have patients with either suspect or infected. But now this last month with the release of measures, the opening of borders, because Presevo borders Northern Macedonia and Kosovo, and contacts with Vranje and Nis have not had. So we were naturally isolated with the border closure and there was no contact. There are more Serbs in Bujanoc and they've had more contact and there's been a case here, but we haven't had and COVID Ambulance we've opened since March. However, patients have not appeared, and there have been no cases. They've come with a fever and they've appeared in an emergency, but there's not been a suspected symptom, but in recent times it's grown quite a lot of number”, he indicated.
He has also shown that the House of Health in Presevo is a serological test, but these tests are not decomposing.
The patients that are being presented we're doing the quick tests that everybody's doing, but these are not demining whether or not it's positive, they're actually only showing whether you've had it before or not. Yet, patients are coming with a high fever, and their own symptoms are showing that they may be infected. We quickly run tests on each patient, and we have to do that and we do it to the lungs, the temperature measure, and the blood test means we do the blood mirror to each patient. 18 patients have been with febrial symptoms, where 8 of them have come up positive, 7 have turned negative, and two of us have been slightly worse in pneumonia, sent to Vranje Hospital and one to Nis”, Salihu said.
He has made it known that in order to stop the flow of patients, Bujanoc's Banja Srpska has become an improvised hospital, but as Salihu pointed out, there is a lack of much awareness of the citizens who exist in Corleone, but at the same time as Salihu pointed out, fear of going to some Serbian hospital.
Salihu says that in southern Serbia the coronary situation is heavier and hospitals are thus crowded.
We have held a meeting with Bujanoc's ambulance director even in consultation to temporarily make a kind of hospital for patients with mild symptoms. The low awareness of citizens is a problem because there are a large number of patients who still believe this is happening and we are having a problem. The only city that has the problem that patients are not presenting, we have the problem that patients are going private. They're running around the patients for 5-6 days, and when they're coming into a slightly heavier situation they're coming up to us, they're just saying in that phase of the bilaterial pneumonia, they're going to have their lungs turned on. We're also taking those patients to the Vranje Hospital or where there are free places because in southern Serbia, hospitals are packed even patients are sending them to Surdolica or Nis. But to our patients besides fear of the disease is also fear of going to hospital treatment in Vranje. The majority of patients in consult with the Coronavirus doctor point to the symptoms of where the patient went because not everyone is for hospital treatment, but there are patients who are slightly easier in symptoms and with therapy or ampular or oral therapy than they are, but those who are in a slightly more serious state are reluctant to go to hospitals. Only when the situation is coming that has nowhere else to go. But there is the fear that even scared me of going to the hospital”, Salih told me about the news.
Apart from lack of awareness, Salihu says the test results The PCR is up to 10 days late, and this causes citizens who make this test not to be self-insisted but come out freely and hide it from others.
The Institute for Public Health first had to do tests for our patients. That we don't do tests. We've taken the early tests, but as I said before, these tests are not detenive. I've then asked them to give us tests and we can only run samples but these tests are taking too long. Patients are being forced to wait up to 10 days for a result, which means that the patient we make to PCR is going to have symptoms, he's dating and drinking coffee and he doesn't tell them he's sick and that's the problem with the tests we send him to the PCR, so they're late. Now we have tests, we have PCR tests where we get samples here. It's a little more difficult because neither does the Vranje Hospital do these tests but they send them to Nis or Belgrade, and it's a long procedure, so we take the sample here and have to send it back to Vranje and then Vranja keeps it a day or two until it gathers and from there they are sent to Nis or Belgrade. By the time the results come up, it's a lot of procedure and it's harder for us, but with the rapid tests we do here in 30 minutes. I have also asked for the Staff to declare a state of emergency and a state of emergency has been declared, because there is a difference in the state of emergency. Since Monday the premises have been closed means gastronomy even in Presevo from 8:00 to 05 a.m. ”, he indicated.
Salihu urged all Presevo citizens not to hesitate and head to the Health House in this municipality.
I have asked all citizens to come and report to the House of Health in Presevo. They're going private and we can stop them from going private because we understand their fears, but they need to be notified. Those who see that they have symptoms must come to the Health House certainly be notified at COVIID Ambulanca at any time because even in recent hours, rapid aid functions as COVID Ambulance. However, it is not that citizens are heading for us and those who are coming are seeing that the number has increased. Only yesterday was a record number, 18 patients had and said within 12 hours. Confirmed with the PCR test there are six and they're only lying in the hospital and the others we've been testing have been negative. Tests we're doing regularly, but the results are running late, but with rapid tests we don't have a problem and we have enough, and we test fast to give each patient a plus lung infection and blood tests because we have to do them. Now it also depends on symptoms, because if there are slight symptoms, we send the patient into vetoation, but there are patients who don't. It means the awareness of citizens is lacking. It happens that even with the early test they get negative, but they have symptoms, and every patient who appears has symptoms, at least each of them has a” temperature, Salihu said.
We stress that according to official figures, Serbia has confirmed more than 20,000 positive cases with coronarys, with 472 patients dead.
This month, authorities have returned some restrictive measures to curb the spread of the coronary, which have been eased in May and June. Serbia has held parliamentary elections on 21 June.
