Doctors Arben Gjata, spoke today about the reasons why the number of daily coronavirus cases in Albania has increased in recent weeks.
“With very good results during quarantine, people thought Covid-19 went away and the opening was accompanied by total neglect of the public to respect measures”, Gjata said in A2.
When asked how dangerous urban transportation poses in the spread of the coronary, Gjata pointed out that nightclubs are the most dangerous environments:
In Tirana, there are young boys and girls standing in masks-free nightclubs, dancing and singing. This story is also in the south, with parties in clubs. Urban transportation spread much less the virus than these young men and women who don't think of themselves, their parents, and neither society”.
According to the doctor, the country is prepared for further deterioration of the situation, but the problem is not in the health system's capacities: significant steps have been made in terms of preparation, but we need to be careful. It's not the problem of hospital capacities, there will be no health collapses. Tragedy is the daily loss of people's lives”
We can't stay closed for years until the virus is gone. We need to get used to our new normality and respect the masses. Since we didn't spend Italy's terrible period, population awareness is much lower. If we don't wear masks, in autumn and winter we can be in the face of distasteful situations”, Gjata said.
In the end, the doctor recommended that the flu vaccine be developed before autumn: “in Albania should be vaccinated for the flu population of the season so that we don't have the seasonal flu on Coronavirus”.
