Pristina municipality Chairman Shpend Ahmeti has said that Kosovo should be interested in ordering two million anti-ronavirus vaccines.
Ahmeti, through a Facebook post, has announced that the United Kingdom has ordered 90 million vaccines, while the United States has received 100 million vaccines.
“The states are competing to capture the first vaccine ordinances that could be submitted September/ttor in order to reduce economic losses. The UK has ordered 90 million vaccines from potential producers, and from the producer Valneva another 40 million if the vaccine is shown successful. The UK has 67 million inhabitants. The United States has ordered 100 million Pfizer vaccines for 1.95 billion USD, and money deals that the United States has the opportunity to buy another 500 million doses. The US has 330 million residents”, Ahmeti wrote.
He says Kosovo cannot compete with major states, but must order 2 million vaccines.
“Now, we know that Kosovo cannot be postponed with the major states, but that now we should be interested in ordering 2 million vaccines. If not directly, then let us now seek the help of our friends. Don't let it happen like with your test”, Ahmeti wrote.
