Minister of Internal Affairs Agim Veliu spoke with representatives of the American Embassy and ICITAP programme in Kosovo today, Kimberly Ripfee, Christopher Dittmeier, Shaen Enddoupps, Drita Peresic and Isah Maloku.
The meeting discussed the ministry's role, in particular, of Veliu, after appointment to the National Co-ordinator for the Prevention of Distremism of Violence and Combating Terrorism, with emphasis on priorities and challenges awaiting the Republic of Kosovo, as well as local and international implications in this direction.
“U was highly regarded with the joining of two strategies, which were earlier divided into the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Office of the Prime Minister, as well as discussed in more detail on priorities, purposes and vision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo in combating these dangerous global phenomena, as well as co-operation with key international factors”, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports on Kosovo.
Also discussed was the donations, assistance, and assistance of the United States of America, with special emphasis on advancing and maintaining systems, already installed in the Republic of Kosovo, such as the Auto-Intelligence System of Fingers (AFIS).
