The VV had supported the Alliance for Albanians, led by Zijadin Sela. This political party came in second among Albanian parties, winning about 12 deputies.
Unlike supporters of Ali Ahmeti who have declared victory, however, Abazi has a strong warning saying that “should be the strong signal that tells them either to change or exceed”, Periscope follows.
Full status:
In northern Macedonia Albanian MPs, from preliminary results, appear to have won in total about 32 mandates out of 120, which can be translated as follows: 15 DUI, 12 Alliances with the Alternative, 1PS and 4 Besa (in coalition with LSDM, the election winner). All Albanian subjects have increased except PPS. However, it is not enough to be Albanian. From these deputies who have now won, persistent attitudes are expected in the defence and progress of equal rightsOr Albanians as a nation of statehood in northern Macedonia. These results were not what we expected regarding the change in northern Macedonia, but are still hopeful, showing there is room for the growth and empowerment of new political forces if they work in line with Albanian interests. As far as old political forces are concerned, it should be a strong signal that tells them either they should change or be overcome.
