Days ago, the first cases of COVID-19 were confirmed at Pristina's House of Non-Efflicted Persons.
In a media communiqué, the Ministry of Labour and Social Management has indicated that a person (banor resident) has had symptoms of COVID-19, and the same as on July 17, 2020 has proved positive.
Immediately, as soon as the news is received, all residents and also professional staff have been tested, where after taking samples, 30 resident residents and 9 health staff members have proved positive with COVID-19.
On the other hand, MPMS has made it known that two of the infected are in a more serious and isolated state in specific spaces, one of them is already hospitalised at SHSKUK, while the 27 other residents who have no symptoms are in good health and isolated in the House of the Non-Affliceds' chambers, and also, staff are in their own homes.
“MPMS in co-operation with the MSH and IKSHP are taking all measures for older people to be offered medical assistance to all those in need of intensive care, but also for other residents who are not affected by COVID 19. In the works of this, MPMS in co-operation with the Ministry of Health are committed to providing a medical team, which will individually be in service of the residents of the House of Non-Responding Persons in Pristina, to the extreme of this situation.”, said further in the statement.
