2020: 5 terrible things that happened to Kosovo

The year 2020 is being mentioned in international media as the worst year of modern times. And this year was terrifying and strange even for Kosovo. But wait a minute, it's only been the first half of this year, and the other half of it is ahead. If the first half is taken as the prelude of half [...]
If the first half is taken as the prelud of the second half of the year, then all we can do is say the folk prayer “no-zot-ma-worst=x1>.
In 2005, Kosovo's renowned hip-hop group Ethno Engjujt (now known as Etnon) had published an album entitled “Vitmin E”, and which had become best sold on Albanian soils. There was a song called “Viti 2020” and there were some predictions about what would happen to the country 15 years later.
But these predictions spoke for better days about Kosovo, which they claim would become state weather (which happened), Marec would become a city (not that happened), and that police would be beaten less by citizens (which probably happened).
However, what really happened in this terrifying year will leave deep scars on the future of generations to come to our country. Periscopes numbers some of the most terrible events of these six months.

Coronavirus
The new Coronavirus that David-19shin caused is said to have begun in 2019, but the world would become sick in 2020.
On March 13 the first two infected people were registered, and measures were immediately made to limit movement and bans on normal business operation.
David-19shi is committing massacres in Kosovo since 75 people have so far died, while economic damage has been extraordinary and unprecedented.
Many citizens have lost their jobs, their salaries have been reduced, their businesses have been damaged, or they have even closed.

American Threats
The short-lived government, Kurt, however, was long-lived enough to develop an open diplomatic clash with Kosovo's biggest ally, the United States of America. He continued it, and even took Haradinaj's struggle to the next level for keeping the customs fee 100%. This caused Kosovo to be threatened openly and without equivice by US senators (David Perdue, Order Paul) and diplomats such as Grenelli and President Donald Trump's son with the withdrawal of American troops.
This threat clearly meant endangering the country's security but it seems that the prime minister did not.
Who would think that Kosovo would be caught with the United States in 2020 15 years ago? Maybe Albin Kurti.
However, this drama ended after the arrival of the new government with Prime Minister Avdullah Hotin, who managed to repair these relations, and the Americans released the Milenium Challenge Fund, which is expected to total over $200m. While troop withdrawal is not currently mentioned.

Three Governments - From Which Two at Work
Kosovo began the year, having Ramush Haradinaj as incumbent prime minister. He had governed the country as retired and in office from July 19th last year. But the question was not that Ramush was not releasing the power chair, but because Vetevendosje and LDK -- the two parties that came first in the election -- were not agreeing to share his power.
However, they would reach agreement in early February, but Kurt would have to break it in just 48 days. If the LDK has thought that the PDK is an unfaithful party to coalitions, then Vetevendosje, which it planned to co-government with for eight years, it did. PDK and half.
Not only did he violate the agreement for co-governance, but Vetevendosje even accused the LDK of different things by wanting to justify itself.
Over six months, Kosovo was under Haradinaj's (in charge), Kurti, and now in the government of Hoti. Whether this government will be able to continue working by the end of this year is unknown.
Political instability can make a big problem for the country's security in these times of crisis.

The Language of Hatred
The language of hatred and patience has already become daily for the political scene in Kosovo. Vetevendosje intensified its use, especially from March to this month, slowly attacking the LDK, the former government partner.
But there was also no shortage of attacks on journalists, such as he was on the Adriatic Kelmendi, and the media where Periscope was spared.
Of course, Vetevendosje did not remain alone in this dangerous course. Expressors of other parties also polluted the public sphere by words unacceptable to political rivals.

KLA under attack
And, just when it seemed that the KLA during this period would not be contaminated by different political interactions, the opposite happened.
Wanting to politically attack Kurti's rivals, his former adviser Shkelzen Gashi had severely attacked the KLA's fair fight, implying that major crimes had been committed against Albanians, Serbs and other communities without offering any evidence. He also praised the work of Swiss senator Dick Marty for making his famous report accusing him of organ trafficking.
Fortunately, this discours changed immediately and instead of the KLA as a whole were accused of certain groups.
But, on 24 June, Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague would warn an indictment against President Thaci and PDK leader Kadri Weselin. This serious accusation involved crimes against humanity and war crimes.
That indictment warning missed the June 27th meeting in Washington between Kosovo and Serbia, for the first time with the White House mediation.
President Thaci warned that he would resign if the indictment was confirmed, while the PDK is now being introduced into the government coalition so that Kosovo can be rid of this difficult period.
The year 2020 opened in Kosovo a host of crises of various natures, including the health, political crisis, the value crisis and the economic crisis. /Periscope
