The 200 million planted after the removal of reciprocity: MCC targets projects helping economic development

Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami has hosted the executive director of the Kosovo Milenium Foundation, MFK, Petrit Selimi and MCC Director for Kosovo Sarah Olmstead at the meeting. The meeting discussed the importance this foundation has for the economic development of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as increased co-operation in implementing joint projects.

According to the ministerial communiqué, Minister Bajrami informed guests of the work and the Kosovo Government's plan in terms of economic development.

She also thanked the United States for supporting Kosovo's economy through this important foundation and expressed its readiness and institution to boost co-operation with the MFK in order to economic development of the country.

On the other hand, MFK Executive Director Petrit Selimi suggested that Kosovo's Milenium Foundation is the implementing entities of the UNTHETI Programme in the middle of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and Milenium Challenge Corporation, the US independent agency that helps fight global poverty. While in Kosovo, it aims to develop projects that help our country's economic development.
