According to official data, 2,000 tourists are currently resting in Ulcinj. According to the Montenegrin newspaper “Vijest”, this number is 20 times smaller than that of tourists who were last year in the same period.
The same year in Ulcinj were nearly 42,000 tourists, according to local tourist agency data.
“Most guests are present at private accommodation, more than 1600. In hotels, 380 tourists are staying, and in camps 21. Of the total number, the country's guests are 157, while foreigners 1859” have announced Vijesti.
The coronary situation, of course, is the main reason for this extraordinary decline. For Kosovars entry into Montenegro is allowed only by introducing a negative test for COVID-19. For many Albanians living in European countries entering Montenegro is not banned. But most Albanians living in Europe have also limited holidays in their homelands because of the created situation, respectively, of the large increase in the numbers of infected in recent weeks.
