According to the Law for the Ombudsman, this office would have to be established by Hilmi Yasar's successor since July 2nd.

In a response to Television, the Kosovo Parliament's Information Office has announced that the ongoing demand for staying in this position of Hilmi Jashari has been based on the Law on Ombudsman.
Kosovo's Ombudsman, says his five-year experience is satisfied with the impact his activity has had.
During the institution's leadership by Hilmi Jashar, 300 cases of Ex Officio and over 1,000 recommendations have been carried out.
In the ombudsman seat, one of 19 candidates for the position could be lowered.
Currently open is the competition for the election of the new lawyer in which Basri Kastrati, Valdetee Hyseni, Sadik Kryeziu, Albanian Ibraj-Mala, Edona Hajrullahu, Valon Leci, Alban Idrizi, Naim Qeyaj, Vebi Mujaku, Xhavit Shala, Ekrem Jakupi, Gezim Lafii, Nail Musa Dragusha, Enver Hasani, Murtezani, Arben Mudi, Ufamer Ufamer Shakni and Ibrahimslan.
In a conversation with Albanian candidate Ibraj-Mala television, who for years worked on the ombudsman's institutions, considers it necessary to elect a woman at the helm of this institution.
The other candidate, Valon Leci, who has been leading the Labour Inspectorate, says his experience in the field of human rights has prompted him to apply for this position.
Former Constitutional head, university professor Enver Hasani, is also interested in running this institution.
T7 learns that interviewing candidates was scheduled to happen next Monday.
But then it's been postponed for an indefinite period, because of the situation with Coddy 19.
After interviewing the Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, the 3 names selected on the tight list are sent to the Assembly for the vote.
With 61 votes for MPs, the new ombudsman is elected.
