137 coronavirus cases are being handled in Gjilan

The mayor of Gjilan municipality, Lutfi Haziri, after the second inter-institute meeting with regard to the widespread state of illness, has said that today the most infected curve in Gjilan has fallen further and is constantly working on managing the situation.

“From 306 infected with Covid-19 for the entire pandemic period, 164 have completely healed, 5 have lost their lives in the battle with Ovid-19, 137 cases are being handled according to doctors' recommendations and under their care, staying in the sequency. Of the 19 samples taken, today we have results in four new cases. Our appeal is common to take care of yourself and your families”, Chairman Haziri said in his address.

Ukshin Ismajli, clinical director at Gjilan General Hospital, has said the situation is under control and services are provided with full capacity from professional staff.

Of the 42 patients we had in the hospital today, 22 were treated with oxygen therapy, and 20 were waiting for Covid's test. From today we have a different approach at the SRG level and ask forgiveness from colleagues in Pristina because we cannot provide support in Pristina, with the reason that the staff will be fully engaged in the hospital, to manage the situation we are in. Support is necessary with equipment and other tools”, Ishmael said among other things.

“From tomorrow's management day will be at the infection level, following recommendations given at the primary health level and only after infecting the need for testing will be recommended. The Gjilan municipality is fully engaged with inter-institute teams to narrow the source of infection as much as possible so that active cases can be healed as soon as possible and as few new cases. All who are in their capacity to respect the recommendations of health teams together in hopes that symptoms will be as easy as they can be, says a communiqué to the Swiss municipality.

Chairman Haziri has said he is also working on easing measures and is preparing for next week in co-ordination even with the Kosovo Republic and Gjilan Community Emergency Committee, so that we can all cope best, and the more rightly the whole situation of the pandemic.
