About 13% of test with the Serological method has resulted positive

About 12 to 13 percent of those who have been tested by the Serology method in Pristina have resulted positive in COVID-19. The director of health in the capital, Bujar Gashi, has confirmed this. He has said they are doing about 100 tests a day and are testing people based on recommendations for testing family doctors. Among those tested, he said there were people who had symptoms of COVID-19 over a period of one week and who suspect they are infected, as well as people who have passed COVID-19. However, he has said that there is still no division of how many of those tested belong to each of these categories. He said these data would release later.

And we've done a portion of the patients that are in trouble and have over 7 or 8 days of symptoms that we're testing with the serology method, so far we've already conducted about 600 serial tests, that's the daily capacity is 100 tests, we're waiting for days and weeks to add the number of tests to both the citizens and the number of research tests that we've planned to”, Gashi stressed.

According to him, by the end of next week, new devices will also operate and increase the number of these tests.

Before Pristina began corporal testing, all tests in Kosovo were conducted with the method PCR, which counts one of the most accurate methods. But, last week, Health Minister Armend Zemaj has signed an administrative guide that has also paved the way for Radidological testing.
