117 new cases and four dead from Coronavirus in Albania

In the last 24 hours, 4 citizens have lost their lives as a result of the Coronavirus, an 84-year-old from Shkodra, a 75-year-old from Tirana without other diseases. As well as 2 citizens from Tirana -- a 78-year-old and an 82-year-old -- with a joint illness.

After increasing daily cases of the past few days, increasing the number of patients needing intensive therapy has put the health system on increased alert. But in this situation, the Ministry of Health appeals to the cooperation of citizens for law enforcement to limit the spread of COVID 19.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses all citizens with a call to place the mask on every closed environment, respect the distance of at least 1.5m from others, and take care of personal and collective hygiene.

We inform you of the epidemiology situation in the last 24 hours: 507 tests have been conducted to suspect affected by COVID19, of which 117 positive cases have been confirmed.

The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 58 cases in Tirana, 12 in Durres, 8 in Kukes, 7 cases in Kruja, Korca, 5 in Shkodra, out of 3 cases in Vlora, Divjaca, from 2 cases in Fier, Has, Klos, and from 1 in Kurbi, Lezha, Kavaj, Lusnje, Matt, Gjirokastra, Malisi, Bulqiza.

During the last 24 hours, 44 citizens have been healed, bringing the number of cures to 2789 since the beginning of the epidemic.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection addresses citizens to call in the unique number of National Emergency 127 if they have signs of disease, and on the green line 0800 40 for information about Covid19 or psychological advice.
