Chairman The PDK, Kadri Wessel, has chosen to organise a different event in honour of the 21st anniversary of Kosovo's liberation.
He has met the children of martyrs, martyrs, missing and UCK veterans, with whom he has talked about the importance of freedom and freedom of Kosovo. Wessel has asked this generation of young people not to stop engaging in taking Kosovo further, just as their parents do.
It is very emotional for me to celebrate this holy day of our freedom with you, daughter and daughter of freedom of Kosovo, of heroes, martyrs, martyrs, missing, prisoners, KLA veterans, my fellow fighters! It is very emotional for us to celebrate the day of liberation, the day of the NLA, the historic triumph of our nation, in the middle of Pristina, our chief centre, where the September of legendary commander Adem Yasar will soon rise, in front of the nation's hero, Zahir Pajaziti” has said Wessel.
He has further instructed young ones to be proud of the work of their ancestors. “Your parents were brave heroes, and my fellow warriors were at your age when they stood up with slogans in protests and demonstrations against Serbia; when they were imprisoned for freedom; and when they caught the gun and died for Kosovo. This is our story, the story of Kosovo, which your parents and you wrote in freedom, will continue to complete every day of your life”
Finally, Wessel has said but freedom as such is not enough and everyone's commitment is required.
We need to work for a state where there is freedom and responsibility; where there is vision and purpose; where the law protects and gives opportunity; where there are equal chances for everyone, where there is no place for crime and corruption where there is economic development, where you honor your intentions in the state your parents have dreamed of and that you dream of it.
Wessel has ordered young people to keep their journey west alive.
You know, we used to line up straight. Let's continue this path and maintain pro-Western orientation; maintain friendship with America. Let's bow to these flags around us every day. And we swear here that we will not allow any party and politician who in the interests of a handful of power will ruin our future. As we've won, we'll win together. Your parents and my fellow heroes won freedom; it's up to us to win and do Kosovo the way it befits” has said Wessel.
The children of martyrs, martyrs, and missing, Arbnor Hysen Zogjan, Berat Becir Rexhepi, and Laberion Remzi Zebica, have also spoken at this meeting.
