Vjosa Osmani seeks transitional government until new elections

Parliament Speaker Vjosa Osmani has spoken after the Constitutional Court's Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Parliamenting politically in favour of the LDK, demanding transitional government with a figure that would not be Albin Kurti (so unifying and superparty) for a period of up to nine months. She said that despite disagreements about some parts of the Court's reasoning, our Constitution leaves no room and no other way as to implementing decisions on the part of institutions.
Osmani has reiterated that elections are the only option.
“Politically, as I have said in the past, elections are the only option that could restore the legitimacy of the institutions”, it has stressed for Blic.
But in the meantime, it has added, until the election circumstances were created due to the pandemic, “I think the only way to prevent extreme polarisation and major confrontations in these challenging times would have been a transitional government, for 6-9 months, led by a super-party unifying figure and with technical ministers”.
This, according to Osmani, would enable overcoming the political and economic crisis, preparing for the organisation of new elections, reaching consensus about dialogue and protecting territorial integrity.
The Speaker of the Parliament considers that governments that are dependent on the Serbian List have not brought stability.
Taking advantage that even the Hoti Government will depend on Serbian List votes, Osmani considers no decision is only Kosovo's, but as a result of compromises with Serbia.
“The governments that depend on the Serbian List as a whole have never brought success or stability, because dependence on the Serbian List risks achieving any goals or success of the country”, it stressed to Blic newspaper.
It warns that if the government depends on the Serbian List, even simple laws will not be adopted without Belgrade's reconciliation.
“No decision anymore is just of our country, but is the result of Kosovo-Serbia compromises. So not even the simplest laws will be able to pass without the reconciliation of the Serbian list, which means without the reconciliation of Belgrade”, she stressed.
By contrast, Osmani had voted against the collapse of Kurti Government, while opposing the LDK coalition with the AAK and the Initiative.
