Turkey and Russia agreed on Tuesday to co-operate to develop the anti-cronavirus vaccine and conduct joint clinical trials.
The Turkish Health Ministry said in a statement that Health Minister Fahlettin Koca held a conference call with Russian counterpart Mikhail Murasko, writes Anadolu.
Turkey has succeeded in its fight against Coca, using various treatments than the World Health Organisation, Koca stressed, citing cases of the decline in the coronary and the number of deaths drop by day.
Koca recalled that Turkey began the normalisation process since 1 June and about 130,000 were healed by COVIDD-19.
Turkey is conducting its research on the vaccine at 22 centres, the senior health official said, adding that four of them have passed into the animal testing phase so far.
For his part, Murasko said they are working on the synthesis of the COVID-19 vaccine, and achieved positive results from animal testing.
The two ministers agreed to meet regularly and to conduct joint studies in the development of vaccines and medicines.
Koca, meanwhile, said on Twitter that Turkey will play an active role in developing medicine and do processes with institutions linked to the Food and Bars Administration and the European Bars Agency.

More than 377,400 people worldwide are left dead from pandemics, as there are over 6.32 million people and more than 2,72 million people have been cured of the disease, according to figures compiled by US - based Johns Hopkins University.
