But who is Yamaal Bowman?
Bowman is a 44-year-old teacher and politician from New York. He was born in Manhattan and lived with his grandmother from Monday through Friday, and with his mother and sister during weekends as a child.
He had become a teacher of crisis management at South Bronx elementary school first. In 2009, he had founded the Cornerstone Academy for Social Action, a public high school in the Bronx, writes Periscope.
Bowman has become famous for precisely accruing education issues.
