NATO is preparing for a possible second wave of the coronary pandemic and is collecting supplies of medical and materials to confront it, its Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced today.
“We are preparing for a possible second wave of”, he said during a press conference on the eve of a meeting of Alliance defence ministers.
A special fund of several million euros will also be established to buy medical equipment and pay for the transport of doctors and patients when necessary”, Stoltenberg added, reports the ATS.
According to him, these measures will enable a faster response to a possible second wave of pandemic so that essential assistance can reach the right place and at the right time.
